How it works

Your final class grade is a weighted blend of your current grade and your final exam score. Rearranging that blend tells you exactly what you need on the exam.

Formula

Needed = (Target − Current × (1 − w)) ÷ w
w = final exam weight

Example

With 85% now, a final worth 25% and a 90% target: (90 − 85 × 0.75) ÷ 0.25 = 105%.
