Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can use every calculator without an account.
• Numbers you type into calculators are processed in your browser and are not sent to us — unless you choose to create a share link.
• We store what you deliberately send us: contact messages, feedback and share links.
• We do not sell personal information.

Calculator inputs

Calculations run in your web browser. We do not record the values you enter while using a calculator.

Shared results

If you use Copy link or Share, we save the calculator's inputs under a random link ID so the link can reproduce your calculation. Share links don't include your name or email, but anyone who has the link can view those inputs — avoid sharing links for calculations you consider private. Copy result and Print don't send anything to us.

Contact and feedback submissions

When you use the contact form we store your name, email, subject and message so we can respond. When you answer "Was this calculator helpful?" we store your answer and the calculator it relates to, plus any optional topic, message and email you provide. We use this information only to respond to you and to improve Calculyn.

Information stored on your device

Calculyn keeps a short list of calculators you recently opened in your browser's local storage to show them in search. It never leaves your device and you can clear it by clearing your browser data. If you accept analytics in the cookie notice, we also store a random visitor ID and your choice in local storage. We do not set advertising cookies.

Analytics

Calculyn uses its own simple, first-party analytics — no third-party trackers. Only if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice, we record which pages and calculators are used, searches that lead to a calculator, and the referring website, linked to a random ID (never your name, email, IP address or the numbers you type). If you decline, nothing is recorded. You can change your choice anytime with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security and reliability.

Advertising and affiliate links

Calculyn does not currently show ads or use affiliate links. We may add clearly labeled advertising or affiliate links in the future to keep the site free. Before we do, we'll update this policy to name the partners involved, describe any cookies they use, and provide consent choices where the law requires them. Affiliate links will be disclosed on the pages where they appear.

Saved calculations and accounts

Calculyn does not currently offer accounts or saved calculation history. If we add them, this policy will be updated.

How long we keep information

We keep contact messages and feedback for as long as needed to respond and improve the site, and share links for as long as the link may be used. You can ask us to delete information you've sent us.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us.

Children

Calculyn is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes.
